Competition 2!!

As promised I'm gonna "borrow" the mLearn picture competition, with a little twist (at least to start with), you can choose pictures that represent blog post labels - 1pt per label represented picture, bonus points for good/funny explanations of images chosen, 3pts for images that represent pre-used portmateaus (so far you can have twitterii, advertorial, sheducause, emerologies, digent, twitzophrenic...) Come on, you know you want to!

btw in exciting development today, prizes may not be mackerel based afterall, I've manage to find something way koala (see what I did there?)

btw - special lifetime achievement award if you can figure out what's going on with the slideshow left. Don't worry if you missed the beginning, I'll keep repeating it until someone figures it out.

1st attempt a la "Have I got news for for you" odd one out round. I see lots of flowers and you're in Orlando so that took my brain to Orlando Bloom. First group of photos on Flickr when searching for Duke takes you to Duke Gardens and the tag for flowers looks very similar to the current Duke pics. SHed was a wholeload of shed pix, but if you followed Sandy's garden collection pix I think that's what was showing on the slide show. First set of photos looked like Orlando or Florida but can't remember exactly what was in there so going to have to wait for promised re-run, but guessing it's a flower related tag from an Orlando group of photos

Am I anywhere near? According to world clock it's 22.20 in the UK so off to refesh brain with small G&T and await further clues!

Smodge on holiday - we're really missing her for this.

Please can we have a list of portmanteaux on the left?

unfortunately, t was eliminated from the first round of the survival: istanbul! competition due to an unfortunate misunderstanding. she had no problem ordering the mackerel sandwich in istanbul; however, her somewhat dodgy turkish pronunciation prompted some confusion and the intervention of the local marsupial protection society when she asked for a can of "turkoala":

Good try Anne - also a la HIGNFY - not the answer written on the card (ie waaaaaay better than the answer written on the card). A good try point awarded.

Richard - done! hope that helps

In the photo comp Liz gets 3 for using all 3 labels, 1 for the bizarre story setting (also awarding 1pt in shumanteau for turkoala)
...starting to regret having three competitions on the go at the same time...feeling calcustress ;-)

my first thought, though, was that you'd been watching the dukes of hazzard on the plane over, and that you'd searched flickr for pics tagged with daisy + duke (hence the many many flower pictures); then when the pictures of oars appeared i figured that was silly, and that instead you were making some kind of word play on "duke has oars"...and then the medication kicked in... :)
